Centered America is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization built to reconnect the American people to each other and to the democratic values that have been eroded by fear, division, and political abandonment. Founded by two Gen-Z leaders Gavin Faivre and Sharad Swaney, we are a movement rooted in the belief that politics doesn’t have to be a dead-end or a shouting match. It can be a path to healing, action, and empowerment.

Our mission is to rebuild the bridge between communities that feel forgotten working-class Americans, young men, rural and suburban women, Latino and Black voters, immigrants, union workers, and everyday families who have felt increasingly alienated by both political parties. We were founded out of a deep frustration with how the Democratic Party, once the champion of these groups, lost touch with its base. While MAGA extremists weaponized misinformation and fear, Democrats often turned inward talking more to each other than to the very people they were losing.

At Centered America, we refuse to let that continue. We’re here to meet people where they are. We’re not trying to “save” Trump voters or coddle extremists we’re organizing around the broad swath of Americans who feel disillusioned and ignored. Our strategy is clear: simplify our message, make it emotionally resonant, build local organizing power, and reframe what political leadership looks like in this country.

We fight to uphold constitutional and democratic principles, resist the rise of fascism and oligarchy, counter misinformation, and provide communities with the tools they need to take action in their own neighborhoods. We support activism that’s real training people to organize locally, showing up in town halls and churches, and equipping them with guides that translate policy into everyday impact. Through live training sessions, impact flyers, grassroots campaigns, and cultural storytelling, we make political action something you can see, feel, and join.

Centered America isn’t just a political project. It’s a moral commitment to build a country where people feel heard, protected, and united not by labels or parties, but by shared stories and common purpose.
